Boys Get Them Too

Omg, I’m dying she thinks to herself as she rushes to see the school nurse. I’m bleeding to death and I hurt. The nurse explains that she had started her first menstrual cycle. Her ten year old mind had not idea what a menstrual cycle was, all she knew was, she was bleeding to death.

Frustrated with my complaining she gives me a brochure to read. So I read. Why is it just girls who get this, I asked? What do you mean this will happen every month? Why don’t boys bleed. Why wont it stop. On and on I rant. This is not fair I moan as another cramp hits me. Surely boys get something as well, It cant just be girls.

Finally, totally exasperated the school nurse tells me boys get them too. That one sentence seems to satisfy my ten year old mind. What a relief she thought, boys get them too.
